The Transporter Bridge spans over the river Tees, Middlesbrough, in the north east of England. The bridge, still in operation, was opened in 1911. In 2011 the bridge celebrated its centenary and to commemorate this occasion, I painted this painting to express the wonderful feeling of being suspended over the river.
