FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

We like Dave Gorman and he had a show once about the silly questions in FAQs.  In reverence to him, we are not going to include questions such as “in the event of an alien invasion will I still get my goods in time?” or “are your cards waterproof?” (in case you are wondering the answer to the first is is yes if Royal Mail still deliver and to the second is no, they are not waterproof).

We are hoping that these questions are sensible, however if you have a question that isn’t answered below, please contact us.

Q1. Do you take commissions?

A1. Generally speaking, yes.  I’m not good with portraiture and would suggest you ask another artist, however I am happy to chat with you about your requirements.  Please contact me and provide as much detail as possible, including your contact details.

General commissioned pieces are priced in the same price range as my originals. Copyright will still belong to myself so I do reserve the right to make limited edition prints from the original piece if I think it would be good to add to my range. I am happy to discuss on a Copyright free basis total exclusivity to you the customer and no print run, but the price may increase accordingly.

Q2. Do you ship abroad?

A2. Yes, but the shipping cost of shop items is fixed by our courier, so it will be price on application (POA). Commissioned work is paid for by the client, who must arrange collection themselves. We will endeavour to pack the commissioned painting to the best of our abilities, but we cannot make any guarantees once the goods have left our premises.

Q3. Can I still order products during the COVID-19 lockdown?

A3. Yes. We are still open for business, but it may take a little longer to receive your purchases. We are sure you will understand why.

Q4. Verses for cards – Why are your cards blank?

A4. There are so many occasions and so much to possibly say, we decided to leave the greeting cards blank so that you can put your own verse.  Who of us hasn’t seen a card we liked, but the verse just wasn’t right so decided to give it a miss?  Instead we decided to leave the greeting cards blank, as they are universal and can be used for many occasions whether a birthday, anniversary, memory of a visit, retirement, condolences, or just as note to a friend, family or colleague.

There are many places that can provide inspiration for free.  For example:

Say it in verse

If you would like a specific verse in a card, please let us know by putting a note when purchasing the card.

Q5. I can’t find the coaster to match the greeting card I want?

A5. We are in the process of creating sets for all the greeting cards. If you haven’t seen the set you want please contact us and we’ll be happy to create one for you. It won’t cost you anymore, it will just take us a couple of extra days to create it for you.

Q6. Which art medium do you use?

A6. My paintings are created either in oil or acrylic paint.

Q7. What are your postage and packaging arrangements?

A7. We normally use the Royal Mail in the UK and International couriers for deliveries aboard. The cost depends on item sizes and weight.
